Burris Millinery stemmed from the designer’s passionate love of both head wear and unique luxury. Designer, Gigi Burris O’Hara graduated with a BFA from Parsons in 2009, where she was nominated for the Designer of the Year award.

Gigi had a primary focus in womenswear, until BURRIS was launched in 2017.  As a sixth generation Floridian, a favorite material is alligator skin, and some of the luxurious skins come from gators captured on family property by her husband. She is also known for intricate feather and couture handwork. Burris, 30, resides in New York and her studio is located in the Lower East Side.

Gigi was included in the Forbes 30 under 30 Art and Style list in 2013 and was a CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist in 2014. She was nominated for a CFDA award in 2016.
